The four trucking pictures were taken around 1950 in the Jemez Mountains. My dad's family trucked pumice from around the St. Peters Dome area on the East side of the Jemez Mountains to a block plant in Albuquerque. In the pictures of the downhill grade you can see the Sangre de Christo Mountains above Santa Fe in the background. I remember going to the pumice pit when I was young. We liked to hunt deer there because it seemed like the deer liked to hang out near the pit.
The other picture is of my brother and me by my fathers K series International around 1954. My father and his truck can be seen in the middle of the lineup in the downhill picture. I am the one riding the bucking horse. My Aunt Marge made that horse for me and I rode it in many a rodeo. :) I like to tell people I used to ride bucking horses at The Internationals.
